We’ve answered some of the questions families often ask about Bright Start, from our opening hours and flexible sessions to funded childcare and arranging a visit. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please get in touch - we’re always happy to help.
When are you open?
We are open Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 6pm, for 51 weeks of the year. Families can choose All Year Round (51 weeks) or Term Time Only (38 weeks) childcare.
What if my child is Term Time Only and I require childcare in the half term holidays?
No problem! We offer Holiday Club, where spaces can be booked in advance if needed.
What session times do you offer?
We offer flexible childcare Monday to Friday, with All Year Round (51 weeks) and Term Time only (38 weeks). options available. Please contact us to discuss the days and hours you require.
Funded childcare session options:
08:00 - 14:00 - 30 hours funding, 5 days a week
09:00 - 15:00 - 30 hours funding, 5 days a week
08:30 - 11:30 - 15 hours funding, 5 days a week
13:00 - 16:00 - 15 hours funding, 5 days a week
Do you offer funded childcare?
Yes. We offer 15 and 30 hours funded childcare for eligible families. Funded places are available from 9 months, subject to eligibility and availability.
Please contact us to discuss your child’s eligibility and the funded sessions we currently have available.
The government provide funding for children aged 9 months plus. Head to https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/ and register for support and further information about eligibility for childcare costs.
Does Bright Start accept childcare vouchers?
Yes, we accept childcare vouchers from existing childcare voucher schemes. We also accept Tax-Free Childcare for eligible families.
Please contact us if you would like to check whether we can accept your particular childcare payment scheme.
Can we visit the nursery first?
Of course! We’d love to welcome you to Bright Start and show you around. Please contact us to arrange a visit, meet our team and have a look around with your child.

How do I secure my space?
A £160 deposit is required to secure your child’s place at Bright Start. This includes a £30 non-refundable registration fee. Please contact us if you’d like to discuss availability or securing a place.
