In March 2020 things diid not go as planned
We were all told to stay at home, make sure we wash our hands
We weren't allowed to see our friends, we couldn't go to school
We couldn't go to the park, it wasn't really cool
Our parents stayed with us at home. We learned to fill the day
To learn together, to laugh together and most of all to play
Soon the weeks turned into months, but finally it passed
Everything was normal and we could go outside at last
On Tuesday 2nd June, Bright Start Day Care were happy to open back their doors to their families. Our main priority was the health and well-being for our children and staff as well as reassuring parents. Working within the government and NHS guidelines we have adapted our settings.
What safety measures have we put into place?
What happens if a child or member of staff become ill during the day?
If a child becomes unwell with a new continuous cough or a high temperature (37.8 degrees), the child will be isolated with a member of staff wearing PPE in a ventilated designated room away from the rest of the children until the parent arrives
If a staff member becomes unwell with a new continuous cough or a high temperature (37.8) the staff member will be sent home.. The management team will contact the Public Health Authority
A deep clean will be enforced on the nursery setting/which may result in the setting closing.
What happens if there is another spike in Covid19?
The nursery will close with immediate effect
A deep clean will take place
Fees
Fees will be charged unless the nursery is closed
